# Get started

Sixb is a TypeScript framework for building a living model of your domain. Represent the things
you work with and how they relate, connect them to your data, and build apps and AI that can read
and act on that model.

## Quickstart

Sixb runs on **Bun**. Install [Bun](https://bun.sh) **1.4.4 or later**, then create and start your
project:

```bash
bun create sixb my-app
cd my-app
bun install
bun run dev
```

Everything runs locally. No database setup or API keys required.

Open **[localhost:3000](http://localhost:3000)** and select **Locate** to see the starter app track
Sentinel-6B using public orbital data. Keep the terminal running; locating the satellite requires
an internet connection.

Open **Console** from the user menu to explore your model, or view the
**[API documentation](http://localhost:3001/docs)**.

Paste this prompt into your coding agent:

```text
Help me build a project with Sixb, a TypeScript framework for ontology-powered apps and AI.
If I haven't described what I want to build, ask me first. Confirm a project name and location before creating files.
Read https://docs.sixb.ai/llms.txt and follow the relevant documentation links before choosing APIs. Start with the setup guide at https://docs.sixb.ai/README.md. Use the documentation and installed package versions rather than guessing APIs.
Use Bun. Scaffold with bun create sixb <project-name>, then enter the project directory and run bun install. Read the generated project instructions before making changes.
Build a small, working first version around my use case. Define the shared model in TypeScript and use Sixb's runtime for the app or AI features it needs. Start with local sample data; ask before connecting real accounts or writing to external systems.
Run the project's available checks, fix any issues, and explain what you built. Show me how to start it with bun run dev and where to open it.
```

- [Explore your project](fundamentals/project-structure.md): Understand the generated files and
  how they fit together.
- [Model your domain](ontology/overview.md): Define the things your app works with and how they
  relate.
